Itinerary
Day 1Manali – Jispa (95 km/ 3-4 hrs)
Meet & greet with our company representatives and start high jeep safari tour from Manali to Leh. First day drive to Jispa via Rohtang Pass (3978 Mtrs), We reach Khoksar where we stop for Passport checking. After short drive, we reach Key long the head district in this area and we will stop here for one hour to visit around the local Bazaar and continue drive to Jispa. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2Jispa – Sarchu (90 km/ 3-4 hrs drive)
After breakfast, one may visit to Dalai Lama Monastery which has been recently built during the Kalachakra Program. Later drive to Sarchu through extensive fields and long river of Bhaga. On the way we stop at Darcha for Passport checking. Darcha is the base point for many different trekking routes. Continue drive to Baralachala Pass (4883 Meters). There is a lake known as Surajtal and it is worth to stop here for pictures. Finally, we reach Sarchu, which is the boundary line between Himachal and Jammu-Kashmir State. Tonight, our camp will be at an altitude of 4200 Meters. Moreover, it will be the coldest night during the whole tour, Dinner & overnight stay in Camps.
Day 3Sarchu – Leh (250/ 8-9 hrs drive)
After breakfast, we drive to Leh via Gata Loops, Nakeela Pass (4700m), Lachalung La Pass (4860m) & Pang (Pang is one of the oldest lands in the world, more plain a 50 km long Ground on 4700 meter high. Leh is headquartering of Ladakh region, Indus valley. The last Shangri-la, A business center of Silk Route, A place where the Sindhu Civilization flourish & the battle field of different religious kings. It is a capital of Ladakh. A Land behind high passes, full of different dry grey valley, beautiful snow-capped mountain with pinnacle of peaks, Color Mountain & artistic rocks. Place of Monasteries, Thangkas & magnificent lakes. On arrival in Leh check-in at hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4Leh – Khardung La Pass – Diskit (Nubra Valley) (120 km/ 3-4 hrs drive)
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (It has been recorded in the Guineas Book of world Records due to highest motorable road in the world at an altitude of 18390 feet or 5600 Meters above sea level). After spending some time at Khardung La Pass again proceed to Diskit. On arrival check-in at Camps in Diskit. Later visit to Diskit monastery which is 515 years old situated on a hill top giving panoramic view of the valley and evening walk around town of Diskit. Dinner & overnight stay at Guest House/Camp.
After breakfast, excursion to Panamik hot Sulphur spring (55 km drive – one side) and on the way back visit Samstanling Gompa and Sumur Monastery. Afternoon visit Hunder which is a short drive from Diskit. Later continue drive to Leh via Khardongla pass. On arrival in Leh check-in at hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Day 6Leh – Chumathang – Tso-Moriri (225 km/ 7-8 hr drive - one side)
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Chumathang. On the way stop at Upshi for passport checking. Chumathang is famous for medical hot spring and people visit to this place for medical bath followed by visit to Chumathang Monastery. From here there is a short drive upto Maha bridge the main checking point to enter to this new area. After this point road condition become rough and another 55 Kms drive will take you to Tso-Moriri via Sumdah village. Finally, reach Tso-Moriri and check-in at Camp. Dinner & overnight stay in Camps.
(Tso-Moriri lake is breeding grounds for numerous species of birds. Chief among them are the bar headed goose, found in great numbers, crested grebe, the Brahmin duck (ruddy Sheldrake) and the brown headed gull. The lake is 8 Kms. Wide and 28 Kms. Long).
Day 7Tso-Moriri – Puga - Tso Kar - Leh (245 km/ 7-8 hrs drive)
After breakfast, check-out from the Camps and drive to Mahe village from where road turns left towards Puga Valley. The valley is an unforgettable scene of shooting fountain and white clouds hanging upon. This is Bhutan gas for which Puga valley is famous. Continue drive to Tsokar via Polokongka La pass (13500 ft.) and visit Tso Kar (Small Lake) and one can also visit Thugke Gompa. The place is famous for wild asses are generally seen here grazing and they seem moving in flocks. From here short drive and reach on National Highway route (Leh – Manali). Continue drive towards Leh via Taglang La pass (5350 Meters) which is the second highest motorable pass in the world. Later arrive in Leh & check-in at hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Day 8Departure
After breakfast, transfer the guests to Leh Airport to board the flight for onward journey and tour terminates here but sweet memories remain for forever…
